DIRECTOR OF FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION

Matthew Ripley is the Director of Finance and Administration at Action Against Hunger Canada, bringing more than 15 years of progressive experience within the not-for-profit sector. He provides strategic oversight of finance, administration, risk management, governance, and organizational compliance, helping strengthen the systems and stewardship that support the organization’s mission.

Prior to joining Action Against Hunger Canada, Matthew served in a senior finance leadership role at Entente Education Canada (formerly the Retired Teachers of Ontario), where he oversaw financial operations, compliance, and organizational risk management. He has extensive experience working with boards of directors and audit committees, supporting sound financial oversight, governance, and strategic decision-making.

Matthew is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Toronto. He is also an active volunteer, serving on finance and audit committees for charitable organizations in both the local community and humanitarian sector.
