Our global efforts save hundreds of thousands of lives each year, but millions of undernourished children remain in need of lifesaving treatment. With your help, we can extend our reach. Here is our guide to help you maximise your fundraising success.
Fundraise and Fight Hunger
Join others and fight hunger and malnutrition
1) Be Creative with Your Event
Get creative and choose a campaign idea that you’re excited about. Next, set a date at least two weeks away to give your friends and family time to save the date. Finally, choose a reasonable fundraising goal. Achievable targets will keep you and your supporters motivated to the end!
2) Share Your Story
Are you doing something fun or exciting? Tell us and everyone you know by personalizing your fundraising page! Sharing your personal motivation for trying to save lives will make your friends and family want to get involved.
3) Start The Giving
Kickoff your campaign with a personal gift. Setting an example is the best way to lead your campaign to success. We’ve found that people are more likely to donate and support you after you’ve made your own donation.
4) Build Your Audience
You are doing something amazing! Share it with your friends and family and ask them to support you. Send personal emails, post on social media, and text or call your closest contacts. See below for message templates.
5) Show Your Gratitude
Thank your supporters, and then thank them some more! Send an email, text them, call them, or post a message on Twitter or Facebook, whichever works best for you! Once you hit your goal, share your success and celebrate. Gratitude is what makes people feel really great about giving.

Email Template
Start out by making a list of 10-20 people in your network of family, friends, and colleagues that you can easily email and ask for their support. Be sure to include a link to your fundraising page. Here is a sample email that you can edit. If you are hosting an event or doing something unique to raise funds, be sure to include that too!

I’ve just started a personal campaign to help save lives with Action Against Hunger. Undernutrition is now the greatest threat to child survival worldwide. 45% of all child deaths are from causes related to undernutrition. Action Against Hunger is the world’s hunger specialist, and by fundraising for their lifesaving programs, I can help save many young children from deadly hunger.
Action Against Hunger ensures everyone has access to clean water, food, training and healthcare. They enable entire communities to be free from hunger. Last year, Action Against Hunger helped over 28 million people in 55 countries.

Integrations
Our fundraising platform allows you to connect your personal pages with Facebook, Twitch and Streamlabs. Connecting to these platforms can help you to amplify your reach and make your fundraising campaigns more dynamic. Here are the step-by-step guide for each integration.
Connecting your fundraising page to Facebook allows you to collect donations directly on Facebook and have them be added to your Action Against Hunger page automatically.
Facebook makes it really easy to share your fundraiser with friends and family on the platform and can help you receive more lifesaving donations.
Step 1: During signup, you will have the option to connect your page to Facebook.
Step 2: After clicking Create Facebook Fundraiser, it will ask you to authenticate the connection.
Step 3: A Facebook fundraising page will be created for you, which you can view by clicking ‘View Facebook Fundraiser’.
You can now share your Facebook fundraiser with friends and family, and every donation captured on that page will be automatically recorded on your Action Against Hunger fundraising page.

Streamlabs
What does the Streamlabs integration do?
Fundraisers can connect their page with Streamlabs. This will send donation notifications to Streamlabs that can be used to configure video overlays with live donation alerts – true livestream fundraising! This integration passes the following data to Streamlabs each time a donation occurs:
- Donation amount
- Donor name
- Donation comment
How to connect Streamlabs
- Access your fundraiser page Settings from the top bar
- On your settings page, find Streamlabs Connection
- Click Connect to Streamlabs
- Once connected, Click Enable Donations
- With your page connected and donation data enabled, you can configure the event data from within Streamlabs.
Twitch
What does the Twitch integration do?
Fundraisers can add a progress widget as an Extension Panel to their Twitch streaming page panel. This progress widget displays:
- Goal progress bar
- Page total
- Top 5 donations
How to connect Twitch
- Log in to Twitch
- Add a new Extension Panel to your channel’s page
- From your Extension Manager, search and install: Funraise
- Configure the extension by entering your fundraising page URL.
