Gaza Crisis Appeal
The conflict in Ukraine threatens the lives and livelihoods of millions of civilians. An estimated 7 million refugees have fled to escape the conflict, seeking safety in neighboring countries, including Moldova, one of the smallest and poorest countries in Europe. Displaced families have left behind jobs, belongings, and loved ones, and they need shelter, food, and water.
Action Against Hunger’s emergency teams have been working to support Ukrainian refugees in Moldova since the conflict began in 2022. We have developed a health and nutrition country strategy and launched new programs with local partners to support breastfeeding and improve maternal health. Our teams have also been providing hot meals and hygiene kits to people in need.
