Gaza Crisis Appeal
Despite significant growth in Bangladesh, the country faces some of the highest rates of malnutrition. Poorly developed water resources, inadequate sanitation, and poor hygiene further undermine the country’s public health. As a low-lying, densely populated country, recurring natural disasters such as cyclones and seasonal floods – exacerbated by climate change – have a devastating impact.
Action Against Hunger provides nutrition, health, mental health, food security, water, sanitation, and hygiene services in Bangladesh, in addition to helping people adapt to flooding. Since hundreds of thousands of Rohingya and other ethnic minorities fled persecution in Myanmar five years ago, we have been a lead humanitarian actor supporting refugees in Cox’s Bazar.
