Burkina Faso faces a complex and severe humanitarian crisis caused by conflict, insecurity, COVID-19, and climate disasters, including drought and flooding. One in five people in Burkina Faso is in need of aid, and 1.4 million have been forced to flee their homes.
As a leader in the country's Frontline Rapid Response Mechanism, Action Against Hunger responds to crises by conducting emergency surveys, rapidly distributing lifesaving supplies, and providing access to clean water and mental health services.
Our mobile teams work in hard-to-reach communities to treat and prevent malnutrition among mothers and children.
To help people displaced by conflict and climate crises, Action Against Hunger provides both immediate and long-term support that includes cash transfers and livelihoods programs.
