World Water Day is an opportunity to think about the vital importance of water and those who lack it – and to take action. 1 in 11 people worldwide lack access to clean water for drinking, cooking and washing. Without a reliable source of clean water, it puts people at greater risk of poor health and diseases like diarrhea, and cholera. For communities already battling hunger and/or dealing with emergencies strike, the effects can be devastating.

From Gaza to South Sudan and Ethiopia, Action Against Hunger is working in areas hard-hit by crises to truck clean water into communities cut off from safe water sources, install storage tanks and reservoirs to improve water supply during crises, repair damaged water system, distribute emergency hygiene kits, and build emergency toilets and handwashing stations to prevent the spread of diseases.

In emergencies, clean water can save lives. This World Water Day, your support can help provide safe drinking water, hygiene kits, and emergency sanitation services to families in crisis.

Donate now to bring life-saving emergency support to those who need it most.
