MONTRÉAL’S MOST LOVED RESTAURANTS & DINERS COME TOGETHER TO GIVE BACK.
This November, we are kicking off the first ever World Food Day Montreal. 25+ of Montreal’s most coveted restaurants are coming together to donate 100% of profits from their dinner services on Wednesday November 12th, 2014 all in support of giving the basic right to safe water to those in desperate need. This year’s goal is to provide safe water to indigenous communities in the Paraguayan Chaco – a region that suffers from recurrent draughts and lacks adequate water collection systems.
In partnership with Action Against Hunger/Action Contre la Faim (ACF), the leading international humanitarian organization in over 45 countries, Montrealers like you, will directly fund the construction of four 20,000 litre capacity cisterns (wells). These structures will provide a permanent solution for 2,845 people that suffer from acute water shortages, and will enable the growth of an independent, healthy community.
