Calendar Contest

UPDATE: Action Against Hunger’s Calendar Contest Winner’s Announced!
World Children’s Day Calendar Contest
World Children’s Day was established in 1954 to protect children working long hours in dangerous circumstances and advocate to allow all children around the world with access to an education. In Canada, World Children’s Day is celebrated on November 20th and is dedicated to commemorate children all over the world.
To celebrate World Children’s Day, ACF Canada, an international non-governmental organisation whose focus is fighting child hunger and malnutrition, asks your students to take part in a very important activity. Our World Children’s Day Calendar Contest will allow kids to put their best art work forward, and 12 winning entries will be chosen to produce a calendar. Funds raised through the sale of these calendars will go directly to fund our life-saving operations around the world.
Contest details:
Students can help by participating in our Calendar Contest. We ask students to draw a picture inspired by the theme Feed the World. Children in schools across Ontario and Quebec are invited to participate in this contest and the top 12 drawings will be featured in our calendar! Kids whose schools are not participating, are still welcome to participate by having a parent sign the consent form and sending it, along with their drawing on the provided template, directly to ACF-Canada by September 30th, 2013.
The winning drawings will then be included in a full-colour calendar, with one drawing to be featured each month of the 2014 year (when possible, on the month of the child’s birthday). All contributions will be acknowledged with a token gift, and 12 will be selected to be included in the calendar. Winners will be given a gift from one of our sponsors and a free calendar. The calendars will then be distributed to our donors, corporate sponsors and friends of ACF. For the public, the calendars will be available for purchase online.
