Action Against Hunger medical staff are experts at tackling malnutrition and have saved the lives of millions of malnourished children across the world. An average six-week treatment program can put a child with severe acute malnutrition firmly on the path to recovery. But 2.3 million children under the age of five still die every year because their diets lack the nutrition to keep them healthy and safe from deadly diseases.

When 20-month-old Halima was admitted for inpatient care, she was suffering from severe acute malnutrition. In just six weeks, she was brought back to health. Watch her extraordinary story.
