The violence in Sudan threatens to deepen the humanitarian crisis in a country that was already struggling. Before this outbreak, 15.8 million people were already in need of humanitarian aid. Over 11 million didn’t have enough healthy, nutritious food.
Still, in the midst of this crisis, Action Against Hunger is on the ground providing lifesaving services. Our staff are assessing urgent needs and planning our response across White Nile, Blue Nile, and South Kordofan States. At the national level, we are working with our United Nations and humanitarian partners to measure the impact of the conflict and to increase access to health services, nutrition treatment, emergency cash, shelter, food, and other urgently needed assistance.
