DONATE NOW: HELP IS NEEDED FOR FLOODING VICTIMS IN PAKISTAN

Families in Pakistan are currently facing a humanitarian crisis caused by the most severe flooding in years.

Nearly 1,700 deaths have been reported, 7.9 million people have been displaced, 2 million hectors of crops have been destroyed, and 8.62 million people are estimated to be in crisis levels of food insecurity between September and November 2022.

Action Against Hunger teams have been responding in hard-hit areas, including Sindh and Balochistan, since August.

Increasing cases of water-borne and vector diseases are a significant concern in these areas. Our teams are working to avoid spreading contagion by distributing hygiene kits and installing pit latrines and hand washing stations.

Malnutrition remains a further concern, as the prevalence of acute malnutrition was already high in Sindh and Balochistan prior to the floods. As such, we are providing micronutrient supplementation for young children and installing nutrition stabilization centres in these areas.

Without international support, Pakistan will struggle to overcome this catastrophic event and its ongoing impacts.

Funds are still needed to help those affected by the flood.

Donate now and help make a difference.
