Love Food Give Food, running for the months of April and May, is Action Against Hunger’s annual event to unite food lovers with restaurants that are passionate about ending global hunger. This year we’re shining the spotlight on one of our participating restaurants each Wednesday. First up, we’d like to introduce you to Chef Wong from Jackpot Chicken Rice! We asked him some questions:
Why does Action Against Hunger matter to you?
It’s important for us to give back to the community which has given us so much in order to help others who are in need. We feed people in our restaurants everyday, and it’s disheartening to think that there are children who are hungry. Action Against Hunger is the perfect platform and opportunity for us to help.
What is your Love Food Give Food dish and why did you pick it?
Our Love Food Give Food dish is a PEI Mussels dish with Longaniza sausage, lemongrass, chilli, and white wine. It’s a tasty dish that showcases our South-East Asian tropical flavours and will attract many diners to donate.
