General donation questions

When will I receive a receipt for my donation?

If your gift was a one-time donation, you’ll receive an official printed acknowledgement/tax receipt in the mail approximately 3-4 weeks from the date of your gift/donation.

If you donated online, you will receive both an email confirmation of your donation and an official printed acknowledgement/tax receipt.

If you’re a reoccurring monthly donor, giving monthly through direct withdrawals from your credit card or bank account, you will automatically receive a tax receipt for your total annual contributions at the end of each fiscal year (typically during the last week of January/first week of February).

When will the recipient of my tribute gift receive notification?

It can take up to four weeks for your recipient to receive notification by mail. If it has been longer than four weeks, please send an email to info@actionagainsthunger.ca
