Support Action Against Hunger’s Emergency Response in Afghanistan

Action Against Hunger was established in response to the humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan in 1979. More than 40 years later, we’re one of the leading organizations working to help the country’s most vulnerable people.

After a brief pause in recent weeks to ensure the security of our humanitarian workers, Action Against Hunger is resuming our programming in order to prevent and treat deadly hunger and malnutrition and reach Afghans in urgent need of humanitarian support.

We provide health and nutrition programming, including the operation of mobile clinics that provide lifesaving care to remote communities. We help ensure access to clean and safe water and run agricultural projects to help improve long-term food security. Last year alone, Action Against Hunger provided direct aid to 190,543 people in the country.

“We cannot forget the millions of women, men, and children who are facing alarming levels of need,” says Mike Bonke, Action Against Hunger’s Country Director in Afghanistan. “We cannot abandon the people of Afghanistan.”

Donate today to support our emergency response in Afghanistan.
